Jamie skipped down the hallway with her backpack bouncing and her brain full of revenge plans. She had just spent 15 minutes trying to get shaving cream out of her hair, and she was NOT in the mood.
She reached her classroom, grabbed the door handle…
And WHAM!
The door slammed shut right on her face.
Jamie staggered back, holding her nose. “WHAT THE—?!”
She growled, wiped her face, and tried the handle again.
It wouldn’t budge.
She pulled harder.
It didn’t move.
She leaned in and narrowed her eyes at the edge of the door…
“IS THIS… GLUE?!” she roared.
Just then, she heard a suspicious laugh behind her.
Max.
He was leaning against the lockers, trying so hard not to laugh that he looked like he was going to explode.
Jamie spun around. “YOU. GLUED. THE. DOOR?!”
Max burst out laughing. “I didn’t glue it! I just… supervised the process!”
Jamie’s face turned bright red. Her fists clenched. And with the precision of a ninja and the rage of a storm—
POW!
She punched Max in the shoulder.
Max yelped, stumbled backward…
And fell straight on top of Mr. Thompson.
“OH COME ON!” Mr. Thompson groaned.
The poor teacher dropped his files, slipped on a spilled juice pouch (thanks, Greg), and landed flat on his back with Max sprawled on top of him.
Max looked up and squeaked, “Hi, Mr. Thompson.”
Mr. Thompson narrowed his eyes. “Do you ever stop falling on me?”
Jamie, still holding the glued door handle, grinned. “Only when gravity quits.”
Meanwhile, inside the classroom…
Samantha was filming everything from the window and whispering to Chloe, “This is gonna break the internet.”
Michael whispered, “I already made a group called The Max-Jamie Fumble Show.”
