Max had just sat down next to George, yawning like a bear after hibernation. The room was peaceful.
Too peaceful.
Because Jamie had been there.
Earlier that morning, she had tiptoed into the like a ninja with a tape recorder. She carefully hid it behind a plant, queued up a very special recording, and sprinted back to her own classroom like nothing happened.
Moments later…
The teacher walked in, holding her morning coffee and her usual “Don’t-test-me-today” face.
Suddenly, the silence broke.
From the corner of the classroom, a tape recorder blasted:
“GOOD MORNING, CHUBBY!”
—In Max’s voice.
The room went dead silent.
The teacher blinked. Her eye twitched. Her coffee cup tilted dangerously.
Max froze. “W-WHAT?! I DIDN’T—!!”
Too late.
DETENTION SLIP: ISSUED.
“Max Johnson. After school. See you there.” The teacher said.
Max: “BUT—!!”
George tried not to laugh “That’s rough, buddy.”
“YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!” Max yelled.
And with that, he punched George. George fell off his chair. Again.
Later… in the cafeteria,
Max was still steaming. Literally. His ears looked like they were preparing for takeoff.
Jamie was across the room, peacefully eating her fries like a queen who had just conquered the land of Petty Revenge.
Max couldn’t take it anymore.
He grabbed a leftover slice of triple chocolate cake from Bob’s tray, stood up, and yelled across the room:
“HEY JAMIE! CATCH THIS, DISCO TRASH BAG!”
He threw the cake with the precision of an Olympic athlete.
Time slowed.
The cake soared majestically through the air.
And then,
CHOMP.
Bob leapt up, opened his mouth like a vacuum cleaner, and ate the cake MID-AIR.
Jamie blinked.
Max froze.
“Hmm. Needs more frosting.” Bob said.
Jamie burst into laughter.
Max just stared.
🌀 What Just Happened?
- Jamie planted a recorder that framed Max for yelling at the teacher.
- Max got detention before he could finish panicking.
- George laughed, Max punched him, and George hit the floor again.
- Max tried to cake-attack Jamie across the cafeteria.
- Bob ate the cake mid-air, and Jamie laughed while Max emotionally collapsed.
