At the Johnson Family House, Jamie stomped around the living room, tossing cushions everywhere.
“WHERE IS MY BAG?!” she shouted.
Dad peeked in. “Maybe your homework is inside the washing machine.”
Jamie glared. “Dad, there is no way my homework would be inside the washing machine.”
After five more minutes of chaos searching, Jamie froze. “Wait a second…” Her eyes widened. “I LEFT IT AT SCHOOL!”
She immediately turned and punched Sophie in the arm.
“OW! What did I do?!” Sophie wailed.
“You EXIST!” Jamie snapped.
Sophie glared. “You’re insane.”
In the kitchen, Noah was climbing on the counter for cookies when he slipped. CRASH!
“AHHH!” he yelped as he tumbled straight into the dishwasher.
“HELP! I’m stuck between the plates!”
Aunt Bella poked her head in, sighed, and muttered, “At least someone’s finally inside that thing.”
Meanwhile Mom, was frantically searching the cabinets.
“WHERE is the microwave?!” she shrieked. “I just had it here a minute ago!”
Jamie blinked. “How do you LOSE an entire microwave?!”
Mom threw her hands in the air. “This family defies physics!”
Ethan was roller-skating through the hallway, moving much faster than he probably should have been.
“Look at me!” he shouted proudly. “I’m getting really good at this!”
At that exact moment, Dad stepped around the corner carrying a pile of laundry.
“Ethan, slow do—”
Too late.
SMACK!
Ethan rolled straight into him.
“WHOA—!” Dad shouted as he lost his balance and toppled backward, landing directly in the laundry basket with a loud thump.
Socks and shirts flew everywhere.
Ethan skidded to a stop and stared. “Uh… are you okay?”
Dad blinked from inside the basket. “I think… I just folded myself with the laundry.”
Across the room, Sophie was curled up on the couch watching a horror movie.
The screen suddenly showed a terrifying jump scare.
“AAAAAHHHHH!” Sophie screamed.
Her scream was so loud that it echoed through the house.
Dad, still stuck in the laundry basket, jumped. “What was THAT?!”
Sophie clutched the remote. “The monster just appeared out of nowhere!”
A moment later, someone knocked loudly on the front door.
Jamie opened it to find the neighbors standing there.
“Is everything alright?” one of them asked nervously. “We heard screaming.”
Jamie sighed and pointed inside the house.
“Yeah,” she said. “That’s just Sophie watching a movie again.”

- Jamie searched the house for her bag and realized she left it at school.
- Noah tried to steal cookies and got stuck inside the dishwasher.
- Mom somehow lost an entire microwave while searching the kitchen.
- Ethan crashed into Dad on roller skates and folded him into the laundry basket.
- Sophie screamed at a horror movie and scared the neighbors into checking on them.
