When the War Followed Them Home

Jamie strutted down the hallway, chatting with Samantha and acting like she wasn’t in the middle of the most intense sibling prank war of the century.

But Max? Max had been waiting.

He’d loaded Jamie’s backpack with confetti, a LOT of confetti. Like, parade-level. Fireworks-festival-level. Birthday-party-on-steroids-level.

The moment Jamie reached her locker, she unzipped her bag to get her notebook.

BOOOOOOM!
confetti explosion filled the entire hallway like a tornado of rainbow paper.

“MAX!!!”

Max, already filming, grinned like a villain in an action movie.

“Say cheese, disco dust!” he laughed.

Jamie lunged like a jaguar, snatched his phone, scrolled furiously, found the video, deleted it, and threw the phone back at him.

Jamie: “Try again, camera-boy.”

Max: “That was art.”

“Ten out of ten prank. Minus fifty for execution.” George said.

Later that evening at the Johnson Family Household, in a temporary ceasefire moment, Max was lying on the couch with headphones on, bobbing his head to some very chill music.

Jamie walked in silently, holding Dad’s phone like a remote.

She grinned.

BOOP.
Volume: MAXIMUM LEVEL ACTIVATED.

“AAAAHHHHHHH!”
Max screamed like a seagull caught in a blender, flung the headphones in pure chaos, and they flew across the room and landed straight into the trash.

Dad walked in at the exact moment.

“I am NOT buying new headphones.” He said, deadpan.

Jamie was laughing so hard she fell on the couch.

“MY EARDRUMS ARE IN SPACE!” Max said, rubbing his ears.

🌀 What Just Happened?

  • Max packed Jamie’s backpack with parade-level confetti.
  • Jamie opened it and turned the hallway into a rainbow tornado.
  • Max filmed it, Jamie deleted the video, and George rated the prank anyway.
  • That evening, Jamie blasted Max’s music to maximum volume.
  • Max screamed, lost his headphones to the trash, and Dad refused replacements.
